واذكر - أيها الرسول - إذ قلنا للملائكة: اسجدوا لآدم سجود تحية وإكرام، فأطاعوا، وسجدوا، لكن إبليس امتنع من السجود.

تفسير الجلالين

(و) اذكر (إذ قلنا للملائكة اسجدوا لآدم فسجدوا إلا إبليس) وهو أبو الجن كان يصحب الملائكة ويعبد الله معهم (أبى) عن السجود لآدم "" قال أنا خير منه "".

"Ey Adem! Doğrusu bu, senin ve eşinin düşmanıdır. Sakın sizi cennetten çıkarmasın, yoksa bedbaht olursun. Doğrusu cennette ne acıkırsın, ne de çıplak kalırsın; orada ne susarsın ne de güneşin sıcağında kalırsın" dedik.
