هُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَكُمْ خَلَٰٓئِفَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهُۥ ۖ وَلَا يَزِيدُ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ كُفْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا مَقْتًۭا ۖ وَلَا يَزِيدُ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ كُفْرُهُمْ إِلَّا خَسَارًۭا

التفسير الميسر

الله هو الذي جعلكم -أيها الناس- يَخْلُف بعضكم بعضًا في الأرض، فمن جحد وحدانية الله منكم فعلى نفسه ضرره وكفره ولا يزيد الكافرين كفرهم عند ربهم إلا بغضًا وغضبًا، ولا يزيدهم كفرهم بالله إلا ضلالا وهلاكًا.

تفسير الجلالين

«هو الذي جعلكم خلائف في الأرض» جمع خليفة، أي يخلف بعضكم بعضا «فمن كفر» منكم «فعليه كفره» أي وبال كفره «ولا يزيد الكافرين كفرهم عند ربهم إلا مقتا» غضبا «ولا يزيد الكافرين كفرهم إلا خسارا» للآخرة.

It is He who has made you successors upon the earth. And whoever disbelieves - upon him will be [the consequence of] his disbelief. And the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them in the sight of their Lord except in hatred; and the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them except in loss.
