With each name, how many times it occurs in that exact form in the mushaf — counted from our index of the text, not copied from elsewhere — and a link that opens its occurrences so you can read them in context.
How the counts were computed — and what they do not claim
What is counted: Occurrences of the name in its written form alone within the text of the mushaf in Uthmani script, matched as a whole word. Four names are looked up by their Uthmani spelling because it differs from modern orthography: «رَءُوفٌ», «ٱلْمُتَعَالِ», «مَٰلِكَ ٱلْمُلْكِ» and «ذُو ٱلْجَلَٰلِ» — I checked their occurrences one by one.
Why we do not cast a wider net: We tried searching the indefinite and accusative forms and it returned false counts, because letter normalization merges what is really distinct: «ٱلْعَلِىّ» matches the preposition ﴿عَلَىٰ﴾ and shoots up to 686 hits, «ٱلْوَالِى» matches ﴿وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ﴾, and «ٱلْأَحَد» matches ﴿أَحَدًا﴾ in the sense of any one person. Counting a preposition as one of the names of Allah is not acceptable, so we kept to what is certain.
And what did not match: We give it no count, and we do not deny that it occurs — we give a search button instead. It may appear as an indefinite noun, a description, or a verb, and telling a divine name apart from the mere word is a judgment left to your own reading of the verse in context. The word «ٱلْوَارِث», for example, occurs in ﴿وَعَلَى ٱلْوَارِثِ مِثْلُ ذَٰلِكَ﴾, where it means a person's heir, not the name of Allah.
The well-known enumeration of the names is narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him), and the scholars have differed over exactly which names it comprises; what appears here is one of the enumerations in circulation.
