وَلَمَّا بَرَزُوا۟ لِجَالُوتَ وَجُنُودِهِۦ قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًۭا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

التفسير الميسر
ولما ظهروا لجالوت وجنوده، ورأوا الخطر رأي العين، فزعوا إلى الله بالدعاء والضراعة قائلين: ربنا أنزل على قلوبنا صبرًا عظيمًا، وثبت أقدامنا، واجعلها راسخة في قتال العدو، لا تفر مِن هول الحرب، وانصرنا بعونك وتأييدك على القوم الكافرين.

تفسير الجلالين
«ولما برزوا لجالوت وجنوده» أي ظهروا لقتالهم وتصافّوا «قالوا ربنا أفرغ» أصبب «علينا صبرا وثبت أقدامنا» بتقوية قلوبنا على الجهاد «وانصرنا على القوم الكافرين».

And when they went forth to [face] Goliath and his soldiers, they said, "Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people."
