وخلقنا في الأرض جبالا تثبتها حتى لا تضطرب، وجعلنا فيها طرقًا واسعة؛ رجاء اهتداء الخلق إلى معايشهم، وتوحيد خالقهم.

تفسير الجلالين
«وجعلنا في الأرض رواسي» جبالاً ثوابت لـ «أن» لا «تميد» تتحرك «بهم وجعلنا فيها» الرواسي «فجاجاً» مسالك «سبلاً» بدل، طرقاً نافذة واسعة «لعلهم يهتدون» إلى مقاصدهم في الأسفار.
And We placed within the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with them, and We made therein [mountain] passes [as] roads that they might be guided.
