  ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ شَآقُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَمَن يُشَآقِّ ٱللَّهَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ

التفسير الميسر

ذلك- الذي أصاب اليهود في الدنيا وما ينتظرهم في الآخرة- لأنهم خالفوا أمر الله وأمر رسوله أشدَّ المخالفة، وحاربوهما وسعَوا في معصيتهما، ومن يخالف الله ورسوله فإن الله شديد العقاب له.

تفسير الجلالين

«ذلك بأنهم شاقوا» خالفوا «الله ورسوله ومن يشاق الله فإن الله شديد العقاب» له.

That is because they opposed Allah and His Messenger. And whoever opposes Allah - then indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.
